Maps & Directions

The memorial will be held at the May River Theatre located at Bluffton Town Hall (20 Bridge Street). The MLK Memorial Program will feature performances from local youth groups, commentary from local leaders and a visual presentation. After the program, residents will march in the MLK Parade, which will begin on Pritchard St. and end at the Bluffton Oyster Factory Park. Everyone is encouraged to bring posters decorated and themed for King Day to hold as they march. Residents are encouraged to stay at the park to enjoy a community celebration, fire pit, music, and free food. Everyone is encouraged to bring empty backpacks, snacks, non-perishables, and school supplies to assist with our initiative to aid the non-profit, “Backpack Buddies,” an organization which assists local students with school supplies. The Bluffton MLK Observance Committee members want to use these community events as a venue to provide students in need with school supplies and snacks to have a refreshed start to the remainder of the school year.
